The Begining......

Well here it is, the start of my blogging life, after reading so many great blogs and being inspired to create again and again I thought it was time to put down my own thoughts and creations on paper ( well close enough to paper). I don't know if anyone other than my family will ever start reading this blog but that does not concern me. I am doing this for myself to keep a visual record of my achievements both personally and professionally and one day I hope my daughter will sit down and read this and be proud of what her Mum has accomplished.

So the story so far...... I am a working wife and mother who in her spare time (ha ha) creates lots of things. I have been sewing most of my life and now at 30 I have developed a need to make a living from the things I create. So thanks to my little girl I started making hair accessories and this eventually led me to create my business Retro Ragamuffins. I began by selling at craft markets and then now have also turned my hand to the online world and created a website http://www.retroragamuffins.com.au/ in the hope that one day this will be my full time job.

Retro Ragamuffins has started off small but my head is filled with so many ideas and projects of what my web store and market stall will contain, but being time poor as I am working at the moment , is making it hard so I have to take small baby steps otherwise I will have a nervous breakdown! It all takes time and I just have to be patient.

Below are a couple of shots of my stands and products that I have for my market stall. I currently am at two craft markets in Melbourne, Australia. One is the Nunawading craft market and the other is the Hawthorn Market. So for those of you living in Melbourne we would love to see you at the market!

Nice start Tracey, I'm a leader AND a follower at the same time.

VERY cute things, Tracey (is it?!) I'm sure that your ragamuffins business will take off in no time! I checked out your etsy site and if I weren't sorta broke right now, I would snatch some up for my girls! I will remember you though!! Good luck with blogging and with your business :) God Bless!
